Elaine's Friendly Homestay is in New Farm. New Farm is very close to the centre of Brisbane, about 12 minutes away by bus.

Close by is the Fortitude "Valley", which is busy with all sorts of shops, restuarants and bars. China Town is also in the Valley, along with a train station.
